Energy-Assessments acc. DIN 16247-1

The regulation DIN EN 16247-1 shows the procedure and content of an energy audit. An energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 offers the possibility of providing evidence for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in accordance with the Efficiency System Directive (SpaEfV).
Companies, which represent a consumption under 10 GW / h, can use a valid energy audit report according to DIN EN 16247-1 as proof for the improvement of the energy efficiency within the meaning of § 3 / § 4 of the SpaEfV for the application.

With an energy audit according to DIN 16247-1 energy saving potential, sustainable cost savings and a reproducible reduction of energy consumption can be demonstrated and implemented.

In addition to an energy assessment which meets the requirements of § 8a EDL-G, companies can also implement an energy management system according to ISO 50001 or an environmental management system according to EMAS.

Organizations with a significant energy situation or already integrated management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 should consider the ISO 50001.
